Not Going to STRESS Out

You know it's become apparent that I won't be under 300 by January 1st and for once I am NOT going to stress out about it. As a matter of fact I am taking a well deserved break from the stress of trying to lose weight and get into shape to enjoy the holidays. January 1st will be a new and improved effort, one not seen in these parts since JAN,FEB,MAR,APRIL of 2007. I am not going to think about being healthy or dieting or anything of that nature until then, I am going to enjoy the holidays. DONT get me wrong I am not going off the deep end, just giving it a rest.

Sometimes you just need a break.

I'm planning on watching what I eat, but I am also planning to ENJOY the holidays - including the food and other treats associated with it. I will NOT feel bad if I decide to have a drink or a cocoa or a slice of pumpkin pie. Neither will I overindulge. I will practice moderation - just like I would if I were a normal weight.

Have a great December, Brad. See you in the new year!

Brad I hope your holidays are free of stress, enjoyable, but not overindulgent. Look forward to folling your progress in 2009. We both should be in the 200's fairly early in the year.

Think "Damage limitation"

Allow yourself to enjoy the things you really enjoy, but don't just eat stuff because it's there. Be aware of everything you put in your mouth and don't eat without noticing it (large bags/tins of candy in front of the tv etc).

Remember, if you put on 5lbs instead of 10, or even 10lbs instead of 20lbs, then you'll still be further foward come January than you would have been.
