Not Much To Say

I don't have much to say today - I gained 3.8lbs since the 4th of May - Haven't been real good nutritionally, haven't been real good physically, drank too much a couple of times... I pretty much got out of the last two weeks exactly what I put into them, basically nothing outside of a few bike rides... Doesn't mean I'll quit trying...

Sometimes, I think we just lose the inspiration... the daily-ness of it all wears on you until you just can't stand to look in the mirror, measure your carbs, step on the scale. A diet-vacation for a week or so can be a great regenerator (if you don't let it get out of hand). Have a drink. Eat some ice cream. Mosey around the block instead of running for miles. Relax. And at the end of the week, read something you know makes you eager to get out there, stretch well, and get back on the bike for a beautiful ride.

I've had an enforced vacation - not one I planned - but I am SO anxious to even do the mosey around the block... but first I have to master getting up the stairs without running out of steam.

It's a lifestyle for a lifetime. We can fall off for a while, but sooner or later we come back, because we know we have to. Preferably it's sooner rather than later :)
